Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using zus.co (the "Service"), operated by Zusco, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

zus.co provides link shortening, analytics, QR code generation, custom domain management, and related services. We offer both free and paid subscription plans with varying feature limits.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service.
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use zus.co to:

  • Spam or bulk messaging: Create links for unsolicited bulk emails, messages, or any form of spam
  • Malware or phishing: Distribute malware, viruses, trojans, or create links that impersonate other websites or services to steal credentials or personal information
  • Illegal content: Link to content that violates any applicable law, including but not limited to child exploitation material, illegal drugs, or content that facilitates violence
  • Fraud or deception: Use shortened links to deceive users about the destination, engage in click fraud, or manipulate analytics
  • Harassment: Use the Service to harass, threaten, or intimidate any individual or group
  • Copyright infringement: Link to content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Circumvention: Attempt to bypass rate limits, plan restrictions, or security measures
  • API abuse: Use the API in a manner that degrades service quality for other users, including excessive requests beyond rate limits
  • Automated abuse: Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to create links in bulk for abusive purposes
  • Adult content without disclosure: Create links to explicit adult content without appropriate context or labeling
  • Impersonation: Use custom domains or link slugs that impersonate other brands, organizations, or individuals

5. Enforcement

We reserve the right to, at our sole discretion:

  • Disable links that violate these Terms without prior notice
  • Suspend or terminate accounts engaged in abusive behavior
  • Report illegal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities
  • Remove custom domains used for prohibited purposes
  • Revoke API access for accounts that abuse the API

Repeated violations will result in permanent account termination. We do not provide refunds for accounts terminated due to Terms violations.

6. Billing & Subscriptions

  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
  • Refunds are provided at our discretion for billing errors. No refunds for partial months.
  • Free plan accounts inactive for more than 12 months may be deactivated, and their links may be released.

7. Link Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep shortened links active and redirect correctly. However, we do not guarantee permanent availability of any shortened URL. Links associated with accounts that are terminated, expired, or in violation of these Terms may be disabled.

8. API Usage

  • API access is provided subject to rate limits defined by your plan.
  • API keys are confidential and must not be shared or exposed in client-side code.
  • We may throttle or revoke API access that impacts service stability.
  • All API usage is subject to these Terms of Service.

9. Intellectual Property

The zus.co name, logo, and service design are the property of Zusco, LLC. You retain ownership of all content you create through the Service (your links, analytics data, etc.). You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zusco, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zusco, LLC from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Placer County, California.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
